Are you looking to improve your animation teaching skills? We’re offering a FREE guided pathway to developing digital animation skills, and also provide you with ideas for student projects using Adobe Adobe Animate.
In this course, you’ll learn how to engage your classes with inspiring activities and resources based on proven classroom projects, as well as how to help your students become more creative and confident using Adobe Animate. You’ll also gain the confidence to introduce key concepts and workflows into your curriculum, and assess and feedback on your students' progress accurately and effectively.
This FREE course is aimed at teachers looking to develop their digital skillset, especially their knowledge of animation applications like Adobe Animate. The course starts on Thursday 29th of September 2022 with an online live session running from 6 pm to 7.30 pm, with another two sessions running at the same time on subsequent weeks (Oct 6th and 13th). Each session is based on a short, assignable animation project that participants will complete in their own time.
This Animation camp is specifically focussing on Adobe Animate and has been designed to cover the key components required by the WJEC Digital Technology GCSE (Unit 2) including how to:
- Create symbols or objects
- Reuse assets using library
- Insert layers, frames, keyframes and blank keyframes
- Tween; classic, motion and shape
- Use onion skinning and bone tool to aid animation
- Import external assets such as bitmap and vector graphics
- Apply colour effects
- Import sound
- Export animation as mp4
Participants who complete this course will receive a certificate and a digital badge accrediting 10 hours of professional development.
Course requirements
To participate in this course, you will need access to Adobe Creative Cloud. You’ll also need to install Adobe Animate on a laptop or desktop. See details below:
